In Celebration of

Venice Maassarany

March 2, 1943 -  May 9, 2025

Early on May 9th with family at her side, Venice Maassarany (nee. Armanious), 82 of Mississauga, ON, passed peacefully at home, into the presence of her Lord, and was reunited with her late husband Onsi.

Born in Egypt, Venice and Onsi immigrated to Canada where they were blessed with Rosemary (married to Marlo), Rhanda (married to Douglas), and David (married to Bryden), and beloved grandchildren Mya, Malachi and Lillian. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Venice is survived by her brothers Sameer married to the late Samia, and Maher and his wife Sawsan and their children and grandchildren.

After moving to Canada, she dedicated her life to teaching and serving her community. Venice was a woman of deep faith, always ready to help those in need and serving the church with unwavering dedication. She helped create the 'Light for All Nations' channel, supporting Arabic speakers. Adventurous and full of life, Venice brought laughter and challenge to everyone around her. She had a great sense of humour and loved pulling pranks on Gedo, sneaking candy to her grandkids and cheating at cards. Well known for her incredible cooking, she will be remembered for her faith, passion, and generosity.

Rather than a funeral service, we will honour who Mom/Teta was with graveside prayer and praise. Her soul is in heaven and she is at peace and full of joy. Interment will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at11:00 at Beechwood Cemetary, 7241 Jane St. Concord - Section 7, Adult Grave 662. Reception to follow.

If you have a memory to share, or a reflection on her influence, share it as you think of her, and post it in the “Guest Book” Add your photos and your videos too. And share this webpage out.

We arrived in Canada in the '80s and we found Noosa and family actually they found us. We went to church once I believe and everybody made sure that we come again and that we are welcome. Such a welcoming and loving family built on the strongest Christian values. We are sure that you are praying for all of us in heaven and your legacy continues through your kids and grandkids. We look forward to seeing you again.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. (Psalm 116:15)
Sad in the eyes of the survivors to leave behind their beloved mother, grandmother and friends. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
