Born December 24, 1924 in Jeziorzany, Poland, daughter of Marjanna and Feliks. Loving wife of the late Franciszek (March 2, 2005) Mother to George, Teresa (Jozef Kania) and Richard, Grandmother to Kelly, Beverley and Eddy (deceased). Favourite aunt to Andrew Filipowicz. Loving sister to Irene (Eric Parsen), Wanda, Kazmiera, Bogdan (Bertha), (predeceased by Helen, Alexander and Stanislaw). Romana was a woman of tremendous strength and character with a strong work ethic. Family loyalty, unconditional love and responsibility were the centre of her core beliefs. Romana&rsquo;s legacy is her family- she leaves behind many, many nieces and nephews (2nd, 3rd and 4th generation) residing in Ottawa, Mississauga and Brampton. Romana was returned home to Ottawa and was buried with her husband Franciszek. Our sincerest gratitude to the Trillium Health Centre 2nd Floor ICU nursing, respiratory therapy, medical staff who cared for our Mom for 9 weeks.
