<div itemprop="description">Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, September 11, 2015 at The Westbury Long Term Care, Etobicoke, at the age of 77. Jim was born in Tandragee, County Armagh, Northern Ireland on April 16, 1938 and immigrated to Canada, arriving at Pier 21, Halifax, en route to Montreal. A graduate of Sir George Williams (now Concordia) University, and longtime employee of DuPont Canada in Montreal and Toronto. Loving husband of Patricia (nee Leathem) and proud father of Cathy (Scott) Plaskett, Sandy (Adam) Solecki and Laurie (Mitch) Davis. Devoted granddad of Devon and Skylar Plaskett, Stephen and David Solecki, and Logan, Effie and Alexandra Davis. Survived by brother Gerald. Predeceased by brothers John, Sam and Desmond, and sister Josie. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Westbury, especially Katrina and Sheryl. Friends may call at Turner &amp; Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, 409 Markland Dr., Etobicoke, at 11:00 a.m.</div>
