In Celebration of

Erna Suazon Gloria

May 17, 1956 -  July 9, 2025

With heavy hearts, our family is deeply saddened to share the passing of our beloved mom, Erna Suazon Gloria who passed away on Wednesday July 9 at the age of 69.

Erna was born on May 17, 1956 in San Pablo City, Philippines. She was a beloved wife, mom, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

Mom was the heart of our family, always kind, gentle, wise, and endlessly compassionate.

She always listened without judgment, encouraged us to be our best selves, and showed empathy. She believed in and was the embodiment of forgiveness and grace. This shaped the way she treated everyone, reminding us daily of the power of kindness.

Mom was known for her contagious laughter. She gave her time generously, volunteering each year for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, a cause close to her heart. She cherished going on road trips and family vacations in Florida. At home, she found comfort and excitement in keeping up with her favorite Korean dramas, always eager to share the latest plot twist.

Her warmth, patience, and understanding leave an everlasting legacy of love that will forever guide, shape, and inspire us to be the best people we can be, to lead with compassion, and to always open our hearts to others before casting judgment.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dar; her two children, Nea and Alex, who were the light of her life; and her ten beloved siblings Benny (Estela), Roger (Ging), Lita, Thelma, Horace, Josie, Rodel (Gemma), Mercy (Mark), Ruby (Pancit) and Rowena, and their children, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Her deep love for family extended to her many nieces and nephews, as well as her dear brothers- and sisters-in-law, who will remember her for her warmth, her listening ear, and her gentle presence.

Dear Ate Erly,

I am very grateful that you (and kuya Dar) loved Cherish and took her along on weekend getaways and family vacations when she was younger. And I want to thank you for looking after me when I was a kid and living with you in Manila. You will be my favourite sister forever! I will really miss you!

Sending our love and condolences to the Gloria Family.

As friends of Erinea over the past decade, the impact Tita Enra has had on her life is immeasurable.

Nea has been such a testament to her parents' upbringing - she has embodied her mother's selflessness, wisdom, and care and compassion for others. Tita Erna's beautiful legacy will live on through her children who are such a blessing to all of those who meet them.

We pray for the soul of Tita Erna, and for the entire family going through this trying time.

Taos-pusong nakikiramay,
Sam Sewell
