David Ralph Karecki

May 29, 1946 -  February 25, 2025

Born in Chicago on May 29, 1946, died peacefully, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Copernicus Lodge, Toronto, at the age of 78. Husband of Kathryn for almost 40 years. Brother of Beth, Mary, Stephen, Paul, Ellen, Sue, Richard, Amy, Janet and the late Kay and Jean.

David graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State in 1968, and earned his PhD in Physics from Simon Fraser University. He worked in Toronto at Unisearch as an Environmental Scientist. David was a Ham Radio enthusiast since high school and passionate audiophile.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Friday March 7, 2025 from 2 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at 3 p.m.

In the spring there will be a burial service in Saint. Joseph, Michigan.

I am sorry that David had such a physical challenge for the past several years. Thankfully he had a wonderful wife and sister-in-law to care for and support him through his struggles.
