Thaddeus Casmir Kupiec, lovingly known as Ted, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 7th at the age of 94.

Ted was born in Toronto in 1931 and lived a full and meaningful life defined by devotion to his family, religious beliefs, a strong work ethic, and a quiet, steady presence that brought comfort to those around him. A Registered Industrial Accountant (RIA), Ted took pride in his profession and was respected for his integrity and dedication.

Ted was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Jean, with whom he shared many happy and exciting years before her passing. He was a super proud and loving father to his four sons: Mark (Cyndie), Joe (Kelly), Dann (Jo-Anne), and John (Betty). His greatest joy came from his family, including his array of grandchildren—Stephanie (Aaron), Natalie (Chris), Alex (Lyndsey), Maddy (Wes), Brianna (Brandon), Hailey (Ben), Lucas, Allie (Matt) Elizabeth (David), Jonathan (Olivia)—and his eight great-grandchildren - Victoria, Elena, Amy, Aidan, Carter, Henry, Jackson and Clark who were a source of pride and happiness.

Ted was predeceased by his wife Jean, his sister Irene, his parents, and many dear friends who were welcomed home before him.

Known for his warmth, 'Dad' humor, and very kind heart, Ted fittingly adopted the nickname “Teddy Bear”. He will be remembered for his steady guidance, quiet strength, and the love he so freely gave to his family.

He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
