It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susana Lacap Garcia on September 8, 2024, in Mississauga, Ontario at the age of 67. Born on December 4, 1956, in Masantol, Pampanga, Philippines, Susana was a devoted sister, cousin, loving aunt and a cherished friend to many.

For over 30 years, Susana dedicated her life to caring for others as a personal support worker, making a lasting impact on those she supported. Her kindness, compassion and unwavering spirit were evident in every aspect of her work and her relationships.

She was preceded in death by her parents Macaria Lacap Garcia and Lino B. Garcia and her sisters Emilia L. Garcia, Marilyn L. Garcia, and Fortunata L. Garcia.

Susana is survived by her loving siblings: sisters Rebecca G. Arquiza (Jessie P. Arquiza), Valentina G. Lacap (Rodrigo M. Lacap), Leonora G. Aquino (Darlo Francisco R. Aquino), Michelle L. Garcia; and brothers Nicomedes L. Garcia, Jose L. Garcia (Ofelia T. Garcia)

Cherished cousin to †Gerardo, Ely (Tess), †Clarita (Fortunato), Myrla, Dely (Benjamin), Elisa, Tony (Gennie), Baby, Janeth (Cesar), Jolly (†Rolly), Cezar (Angelita), Eddie (Helde), and Shiela Garcia Guevarra (Reimon C. Guevarra).

She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Grace Garcia Martin (Edwin), Rejie G. Arquiza (Joan Roxas), Jessica G. Arquiza, Jennifer G. Arquiza, Julia T. Garcia, John Raymond G. Lacap (Maricor G. Lacap), Mia Angela Aquino, Maria Carmela Chantal L. Garcia, and Marie Therese G. Guevarra; as well as her cherished grandnieces and grandnephews: Zoey R. Arquiza, Joshua Arquiza, Emmanuel Arquiza, Callie G. Lacap, Kris (Joey), Gelli Anne, Kristine Rose, and Katheryn Joy Garcia Martin.
