It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Stella Sloan, who passed away peacefully on February 8th 2026 at the age of 78.

Born on March 31st 1947 in Glasgow, Scotland. Mom carried her Scottish roots with pride throughout her life, sharing her warmth, strength and sense of humour with everyone she knew.

Stella was predeceased by her beloved partner of 27 years Gloria Hovenden.

Above all else, Stella was a devoted mother. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter's Tami, Lori and stepson Bradley (partner, Kelly), who were the center of her world.
Stella's love, guidance and unwavering support shaped the lives of her family and left a lasting legacy that will continue throughout generations.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Brandon (wife, Alexandra) Colin (partner, April) Alexandra, Adam and Anne. She was also a cherished, great-grandmother to Skylar Adalyn and Xander, who brought her immense joy.
She is also survived by her loving sister, Linda Walker and her husband Glenn and her brother, Larry Kinmond and his wife BJ.

Stella will be remembered for her kindness, resilience and the way she made people feel welcomed and cherished. Her presence brought comfort and strength to those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we come together to celebrate Stella let's all remember her love of colour and brightness in her life and the family kindly asks that everyone wears something colorful to honor her.
