Robert (Bob) Gerald Cartlidge, beloved father, husband, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at the age of 83.

Born and raised in Toronto, Bob spent his life in the city he loved, eventually settling in Scarborough. He built a long and respected career as a Chartered Accountant and was known for his dedication to his clients and his genuine passion for his work.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons Clive (Anna) and Trevor, and by his grandchildren Abby, Colin, Gavin, and Lily, who will forever cherish his humour and the many moments they shared together.

Bob deeply loved his family and had a passion for sports—especially basketball and the Toronto Raptors—and found great enjoyment spending time at the Toronto Hunt Club. Those who knew him will remember his sharp wit, intelligence, and strong independent spirit.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Merle, whom he loved dearly. Bob will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

A funeral service will be held on February 21, 2026, at Turner & Porter, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto, ON M6S 1P4.
