Olga Nagy Gersenyi, passed away on December 6, 2024 at the Civic Hospital in Brampton, Ontario, Canada at 93 years old. Olga was born on June 11, 1931, in São Paulo Brazil, to Ladislau Nagy and Anna Frank Nagy. Olga grew up in Brazil, alongside her six siblings, Anna, Rosa, Madalena, José and Lotsy.
In Santos,Brazil she met and married Miklos Gersenyi in 1959 and had four children together; Ana, Eva, Miki and Robert. In 1970, Olga alongside her husband and children all immigrated to Toronto, Canada.
Olga was fluent in both Portuguese and Hungarian, Once arriving in Canada she learned to speak English and worked as a seamstress for Sears, sewing beautiful garments. After her husband Miklos Gersenyi passed, she gained employment at Litton Industries. After 10 years of service she retired and moved to the beautiful mountain scape in Airdrie/ Canmore, Alberta alongside her 2 children. After living there for almost 20 years, she moved back to Toronto, Ontario.
Anyone who met Olga knew her love and passion for crocheting doilies, creating the most beautiful and intricate designs. You could always find her with a crochet hook in hand or colouring pencils working on her colouring books and word searches.
Olga was a spiritual women and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 4 children; Ana, Eva, Miki and Robert, Her 8 grandchildren; Jackie, Nicholas, Ricky II, James, Candice, Kaylen, Zachery, Kimberly, and her great grandchildren; Ricky III, Natalie, Braelyn, Addison and Braxton.
