Ruzycky, Myron (Myroslav) loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on July 7, 2025 at Georgetown Hospital at the age of 92, peacefully and surrounded by family. He was born on January 2, 1933 in Yazlovets (Buchach) in western Ukraine to parents Alexander and Ewhenia. Together with their parents, Myron and his younger brother, Orest, left home in Yazlovets near the end of WW2 by way of Germany and settled in Toronto. Myron was deeply loved by his wife of 64 years Oksana Tanchak. Proud father of Mark, Boris, Lydia and Daniel. Beloved father-in-law of Ania, Borys and Zoë. Cherished grandfather to Zenon (Anna), Katrusia (Alex), Bianca, Sonia, Alexa, Larysa, Maksym, Nicolas, Basil and Teddy. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, godchildren and his many friends.

Myron was devoted to his family, cherishing every moment with them. He loved reading his daily newspaper, watching almost all sports, travelling, cooking and trolling for lake trout on Lake Temagami. He remembered his Ukrainian homeland and often shared stories of his early life there. Myron found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was known and respected for his sweet nature, calm disposition, diligence, reliable character and love of life. His warmth, generous spirit and kind smile will always be remembered.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Panachyda at 7:00 PM, at the Turner & Porter – Butler Chapel (4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke). A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church (135 La Rose Ave., Etobicoke). Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery (1280 Dundas St. W., Oakville).
