ADAMOWICH, Morris (Myroslaw) passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26,2025 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Anna "Hanka" Adamowich (nee Kucher), and by his devoted parents Anne and Andrew Adamowich. Proud father to Patricia Glover (Wayne Menichan) and Greg Adamowich (Katherine), cherished Dido to Kristin Glover (David Tanguay), and loving Pra-Dido to Annabel.
A natural entrepreneur, Morris undertook numerous business and family ventures that enriched both his local and cultural community. From operating a neighbourhood gas station, to supplying construction and industrial equipment to various contractors and industries that helped build Toronto and the GTA, his efforts left a lasting mark.
He will be deeply missed, not only by his family, but also by the many friends and colleagues he came to know through his lifelong service to the Canadian and Ukrainian communities, as well as the organizations in which he was so actively involved. He was most recently honoured as a lifetime member of the Ukrainian National Federation of Canada, a distinction awarded in recognition of his enduring dedication and contributions.
Never one to remain idle, Morris was known for his many creative pursuits: building floats for the Toronto Ukrainian Festival, writing poetry for loved ones, playing April Fools’ pranks, perfecting his pickles, and even taking up the accordion in later years. He cherished his Saturday morning golf games with his Sokil golf buddies at Shanty Bay, sharing stories over a brandy, and quiet moments in the garage with a cigar and the radio playing.
He led with passion and vision, always urging others to see what “could be.” He reminded us to “use our smarts,” stay curious, ask questions and not to underestimate the power of a catnap to reset.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Lakeshore Lodge, especially the 3rd floor team, for their care & compassion.
