Our family is deeply saddened to share the passing of our beloved mother, Monica Sookhai, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the age of 87, in Mississauga, Ontario.
Monica was born on April 7, 1938, in Trinidad and Tobago. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Monica brought warmth, wisdom, and kindness to everyone who knew her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Elvis (Alina), and Joan (Krish); her grandchildren: Nadia, Ashley, Nigel, Caressa, and Navika; her niece Cheryl; and her grand-nephew Brandon. Monica also leaves behind two siblings, five great-grandchildren and a large extended family of relatives and friends who loved her deeply.
She is predeceased by her son Terry, her parents, and three siblings.
Monica will be forever loved, forever missed and forever in our hearts.
