Margaret Elizabeth (“Liz”) Griffiths passed away peacefully on January 14, at the age of 80.

Liz was simply the best wife / mom / sister / friend / co-worker you could ask for. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Dave (“Grimpy”), daughter Allison, and sister Mary Ellen.

Liz grew up in Watford and then Lambeth, Ontario, spending summers on the beach and at the roller rink in Grand Bend. Starting her career as a bank teller, Liz’s proficiency with numbers was an asset when she and Dave started their own business in 1983. Her favourite job was raising her daughter Allison, including summers in Thornbury and winters in Naples, Florida.

Liz made friends everywhere she went. Her humour, kindness and sharp whit made it impossible not to smile when you were with her. Her resiliency through thick and thin taught us that anything is possible.

A special thanks to the team on the 3rd floor of Wenleigh long-term care and 4th floor of Eatonville who cared for Liz with love and laughter (and a little “SFA”).

Always the life of the party, Liz would want us to gather for a cocktail. Join us on May 1, 2025 between 3-6 p.m. at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club, 1725 Mississauga Road, Mississauga.
