With great love and heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Lateesha Baldeo, who passed away on October 3, 2025, in Mississauga, Ontario, at the age of 61.

Born in Trinidad, Lateesha came to Canada determined to build a better life for herself and her family. She worked tirelessly — at anything and everything — never afraid of hard work if it meant creating opportunities and memories for those she loved.

Lateesha was bold, loud, and wonderfully unapologetic. She lived life entirely on her own terms — dancing whenever music played, singing every song (even if she never quite got the lyrics right), and filling every room with laughter and energy. She never cared what anyone thought, but she always cared deeply for everyone around her. She was the kind of woman who could make a friend anywhere and who welcomed people into her life — and kitchen — with open arms. Her cooking was legendary, especially her stew chicken, curry goat, and roti, which will forever be family favourites.

She shared 23 unforgettable years with her former husband, Ramcharan (Madeo), and together they built a family that was the center of her world. Lateesha was the proud mother of Surekha, Kash, and Avinash (Butch); beloved mother-in-law to Silvia and Arianna; and cherished grandmother to Aariya, Lukas, Tia, and Kristian. She also leaves behind her faithful dog, Bandit, who was always by her side.

Lateesha’s life was one of fearless love, resilience, and joy. She caused little trouble, made a big impression, and lived with a spirit that can only be described as iconic. Her warmth, strength, and zest for life will live on in the stories we tell, the meals we share, and the love she gave so freely.

Lateesha will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and everyone lucky enough to have known her.
