In Celebration of

James Robert Guest

July 11, 1997 - December 12, 2025

James Robert Guest of Etobicoke, Ontario, passed away unexpectedly at home in the early evening on December 12, 2025. He was 28 years old. James is the beloved son of Anthony and Marie Guest, cherished brother of Will and Jack (Julia), grandson of Helen Guest and Josephine Zamejc, and loving nephew and cousin to all of his extended family.

James’ life was marked by his deep love of sports, his passion for teaching, and a rooted belief in "family first." He was a natural leader who exuded charisma and had the innate ability to relate to people of all levels while demonstrating compassion and empathy. James was always the person others gravitated toward and looked to for leadership. His greatest attribute was his ability to connect with wide and diverse groups of people, making them feel comfortable by putting them at ease with humor and kindness, especially when interacting with those who have disabilities.

Family and friends will remember James as a person who felt more deeply and had a bigger heart than anyone we know, enriching the lives of so many. He was a kind person who genuinely had the desire to help those who needed it most. He not only served as a teacher at Thornhill Secondary School but also as a coach, mentor, advocate, and role model for countless young people.
