Henry Marabini was born in Montreal on January 24, 1952, and in 1980 made Mississauga his home, where he spent the remainder of his life building deep roots, lasting friendships, and a loving family.
Henry was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda, and a proud father to his daughter, Natalie (Dennis Oliveira). His greatest joy came in his role as Papa to his beloved granddaughter, Evelyn, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life. He is also survived by his sisters, Lydia (Pierre) and Jo-anne, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.
A man of dedication and integrity, Henry spent more than 40 years with Brinks, a testament to his loyalty, strong work ethic, and his sense of responsibility.
Outside of work, Henry was known for his passion for music and his deep appreciation for fine wine. An avid wine collector, he took great pleasure in discovering, sharing, and savoring special bottles – often accompanied by good music and even better conversation. He spent hours digitally cataloguing his extensive music collection, which he started early in his life, making sure to meticulously note details about each recording. If you were on his “joke of the day” mailing list, you were treated to a daily smile brought on by the punchline to a groan-inducing dad joke (but only if you made sure to ask!).
Henry found joy in the simple and the curious alike. He loved sitting in his backyard, watching and identifying birds. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he followed games closely, not only watching but meticulously tracking stats and results in spreadsheets – a reflection of his thoughtful, analytical mind. A proud Montreal Canadiens fan, his loyalty to his team never wavered.
Curious by nature, Henry had a deep interest in the paranormal and conspiracy theories, always eager for discussion and new ideas. He was also an avid reader who enjoyed unwinding with a good book, engaging in television shows, and Oscar-nominated films, which he followed closely each year.
Henry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his generosity, his sense of humour and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished.
Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter “Neweduk” Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 3-6 p.m. Reception to follow at 6:30 pm at the Marabini residence.
