It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father on Wednesday, August 27th, following a brief stay at Mississauga Hospital. He was 89 years old, just weeks shy of his 90th birthday.
Gifted with a brilliant mind and determination, he graduated from Central Commerce High School at 16 and became a Chartered Professional Accountant by 19. His career was marked by achievement and respect, and though a stroke at 56 ended his professional path, he faced life with resilience and fortitude.
For more than 50 years, he volunteered with Community Living Mississauga, an organization that supported his daughter, Nancy. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Hayward), and daughter, Nancy, and will be deeply missed by his son Doug, daughter-in-law Karen, family and friends, and the “Dream Team”—his devoted caregivers who enriched his daily life.
Funeral to take place at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel on Tuesday September 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment St. John’s Dixie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Living Mississauga, an organization close to his heart.
