FRANKA ČEKO (née Šeparović)
October 27, 1932 - October 8, 2024
Born in Blato, Korčula, Croatia on October 27, 1932, Franka passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, just shy of her 92nd birthday. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Ivo and siblings in Croatia and Australia. Cherished mother to her twins, son John (Sheila) and daughter Angie (Richard). Adored grandmother to Rebecca, Courtney, Jacqueline and Megan. Franka was a force of nature, fiercely proud of being Canadian but also of her birthplace, on the island of Korčula, Croatia. She had a wonderful singing voice, was extremely talented in cooking, sewing, crochet, needlepoint, knitting, gardening and especially loved doting on and spending time with her family.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Cawthra Gardens LTC for their exceptional care through the years, with an extra special thank you to Nina.
Franka will be laid to rest at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, following a private family service at Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel”.
