Elaine Sicard, age 97, of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away on January 7, 2026 at The Village of Erin Meadows Long Term Care in the arms of her daughter.

Born on September 12, 1928 in Jamaica, Elaine was the daughter of George and Ethel Maud Tingle. Throughout her life, Elaine was known for thoughtfulness, kindness, strength, humour, generosity and for her devotion to family.

Elaine found joy in listening to music, daily walks, visiting with friends, watching her soap operas and revisiting memories of her life through photographs and she will be remembered most for her natural ability to make people laugh, building lifelong relationships and her unconditional love.

Elaine is lovingly remembered by her children Dawn-Marie, Mark and Dave; her grandchildren Kerry-Anne, Brandon, Shannon, Kaiya, Megan, Melanie, Jason, Shayna, Julia and Jordan; her great-grandchildren Jadaliy, Hushai, Harlow, Haze and Brooks.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Frank, Wesley, Herman, Rose and Barbara and by her daughters Angela, Mary and Dian.

Our family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Elaine’s care team at The Village of Erin Meadows and Mississauga Hospital for their compassion and care during Elaine’s final days.

Remembered for all her love and the lives she touched.

A funeral will be held on Thursday January 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Neweduk Chapel 1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga, Ontario with visitation preceding the service at 10:00 a.m.
