Our loving mother passed away peacefully on Holy Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Toronto, at the age of 94, having faced her health challenges with quiet strength and grace over the past year. Predeceased by her brothers and sister (Poland), and loving husband, Ludwik. Survived by her children Karen (John Gierlach) and George and cherished grandsons Adam and Matthew. Daniela is also survived by nieces and nephews residing in Poland, Canada and the United States.
Having emigrated to Canada in the 1960’s from Poland after the Second World War, Daniela met her husband Ludwik and started a family. Daniela’s inner strength and quick thinking was always present and allowed her to raise her children successfully, even more so in the face of her late husband’s lengthy illness and early passing.
During these challenging times she remained an active member in the Polish community and church Parish. Daniela was delighted to be able to enjoy her grandchildren and remain very close to them and offer the strength, knowledge, and guidance only a ‘Babcia’ can give.
She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends, and she will be forever held in our hearts.
