Born in Marina di Gioiosa, Reggio Calabria on February 15, 1941, Cosimo passed away peacefully at Mississauga Hospital surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the age of 84 years. Dear husband of Teresa (Fazzolari) for 60 years. Loving father of, Melina- Maria (Luciano), Frank, Rocco, Dave (Angela). Cherished Nonno of Andrew (Brianna), Victoria, Katrina, Nicholas, Ryan, Madison and Benjamin. Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Immacolata Misserianni. Brother of the late Rocco (Rosa), late Vincenzo (Rosa), late Carmela (late Vincenzo), Giuseppe (Maria), Rosa (late Domenico) of Italy. Brother-in-law of Attilio (Teresina), Pietro (Celestina), late Vincenzo (Rosa) of the GTA. Cosimo will be missed by his family, many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was a devoted family man who found joy in the simplest and most meaningful parts of lifetime outdoors, a good cigar, and the quiet satisfaction of nurturing his garden. Each seed he planted reflected the care, patience, and dedication he carried into everything he did. He cherished his traditions and took pride in passing them down, ensuring that the values he held dear would continue to flourish within his family for generations to come. His heart, however, always belonged to Italy. Returning to his homeland and spending time with his family there brought him his greatest joy. Those visits, rich with love, culture, and connection, were a source of renewal and happiness throughout his life.
