Carmen Hutchison (née Psaila)
June 30, 1935 - January 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carmen on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in St. Catharines, Ontario, after a brief illness. Surrounded by love and quiet grace.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bob, and leaves behind a family who will forever carry her warmth with them. Carmen was a loving mother to her children Danny, Rob (Wendy), and Lisa. She was a proud and caring Nana to her grandchildren Adam, Carly, and Calvin (Nikky). Carly (Shawn) is the loving mother of great-grandson Arnie. Carmen was immensely proud of her grandchildren, and how they have grown. Her love for them ran deep. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Carmen is survived by her siblings Mary, Doris (husband Mike), and her brother John. She was predeceased by John’s wife, Virginia; her sister Ann (husband Theo survives); her sister Christine (husband Joe survives); her sister Tessie; and her brother Joe.
An adored aunt to many, Carmen was lovingly known as “Nana” not only to her grandchildren but to her extended family as well. Her caring nature, gentle guidance, and open heart made her a comforting presence to all generations. She will be remembered for her endless cooking, kindness, generosity, and the steady love she gave so freely.
In place of flowers, donations in Carmen’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
