Arunas (Arnie) Juozas Duliunas passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, Christmas Day, after a courageous journey through cancer.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Vida, and his devoted daughters: Kristina, Aleksa (Jason), and Janina (Stasys). He is also survived by his brother Richard (Danila); nieces Lauren (Mykolas) and Nadia (Brian); and his cherished great-nieces Evelyn, Kate, and Adalynn, and great-nephew Adrian. Arnie also leaves behind many relatives in Lithuania and throughout the United States.
Arnie was deeply proud of his Lithuanian heritage and passed this pride on to his daughters. Together, the family travelled to Lithuania twice, visiting the birthplaces of his parents and reconnecting with extended family there—memories that were very meaningful to him.
Basketball was one of Arnie’s great passions. He played at Bloor Collegiate and for the Vytis Basketball Club. This love of the game continued through his family: his daughters played basketball, attended the Vytis basketball camp (founded by his father, Mamertas Duliunas), and remain devoted Raptors fans.
Arnie worked for Ontario Hydro and later Hydro One for 32 years as a Material Control Analyst. In retirement, he enjoyed time at his cherished home, summers at the cottage in Wasaga Beach, and travelling.
On Christmas Eve, the family shared a memorable Kūčios together. Arnie held on until Christmas Day, waiting until his entire family was by his side. Surrounded by love, he took his final breath. His suffering is over, and he is now at peace. He is reunited with his beloved parents, Janina and Mamertas, in heaven—a joyous moment for them all.
Rest in peace, my beloved husband, Arnie.
