With great sadness we announce the passing of Tony Granieri. Tony passed away peacefully with family by his side at Credit Valley Hospital. Born to Maria and Michele Granieri on September 15, 1936 in Sala Consilina Italy.

Tony crossed the Atlantic at 17 years old to start a new life in Toronto, Canada. Meeting the love of his life Josie in 1964, Josie and Tony shared more than 59 years together, with two loving children Anthony and Lenny. Josie and Tony spent their winters in their condo in Fort Lauderdale Florida on Galt Ocean Drive with family and friends.

When Tony was at home he enjoyed gardening and was very proud of his vegetables, he also enjoyed Sunday dinner’s homemade Italian food with family.

Tony is survived by his wife Josie, children Anthony and Lenny, predeceased by his parents Maria and Michele, his sister Rosa and brother Frank. Tony will be missed by many family members, nieces and nephews in Canada Italy and USA.

The family wishes to thank doctor Liu Jia Jia, the palliative care team, and all nurses at Credit Valley Hospital.

Visitation Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel on Wednesday March 19, 2025 from 2 -4 pm and 7 - 9pm.

Funeral service will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 5440 Durie Road, Mississauga, ON on Thursday March 20, 2025 10:30 am.
