Allan will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family in Toronto, Scotland and his friends at Elginwood LTC home.
Allan was a proud member of the Freemasonry Lodge Eaglesham No. 1265. Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest fraternal organizations, and in Scotland, we are lucky enough to reside in the country with the oldest documented History of Freemasonry. A Freemason is thus basically encouraged to do his duty first to his God, and then to his family and those who are dependent upon him. He is to help his neighbours through charity and service.
FAREWELL to the Highlands, farewell to the North,
The birth-place of Valour, the country of Worth;
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands forever I love.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and
until we meet again,
may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
