The family is deeply saddened to announce the unexpected death of Adam Hoerdt on October 12, 2024, in his 55th year. Adam was a beloved son to Erwin (Gwen), and to his mother Janet, loving brother to Heather (Tom), and devoted father to Greg and Ben (Jessica). Adam was sadly predeceased by Jackie (2001), a caring wife to Adam, and proud mother to Ben and Greg. Brother-in-law to John (Kim) and Mike (Rose); proud uncle to Samantha, Jacob, Mackenzie, Ryan, Finley and Grace. Adam will be missed by each and all, including by his wonderful partner, Kary.

Adam loved life and learning. He was devoted to helping others. As a passionate educator, Adam impacted countless students. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, music and sport. Turning personal hardship into opportunity, Adam biked across Canada to raise awareness, focus and funds regarding ARVC (Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy).

In lieu of flowers, in honour and spirit of Adam’s brave quest, the family gratefully accepts donations to Adam's UHN (University Health Network) Foundation Fundraiser called: ARVC Family Support - Ride Across Canada (https://www.arvcfamilysupport.org/).

Visitation to be held at Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. West, Mississauga, Ontario, on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, October 26 at 3 pm.
