In Celebration of

Pierre Zurawicki

May 18, 1950 -  January 4, 2021

Pierre was taken from us on January 4, 2021, following the rapid onset of COVID-19. Pierre overcame many health challenges over the past 10 years through his positive attitude and constant determination. Best friend and partner of Barb Griffin, devoted father of Jessica and Alexandra, loving brother of Bruno (Therisa), and huge fan of his daughters’ partners Thomas Williamson (Jessica) and Sary Bibi (Alexandra). Pierre spent his entire career as a Chartered Accountant at Clarkson Gordon (later Ernst & Young) and CapGemini. Following retirement, he was long-timeTreasurer for the Etobicoke Centennial Choir and Orpheus Choir of Toronto.
A private family service will be held shortly and a fulsome celebration of his life will take place as soon as much singing and good food can be shared.
The family cannot adequately express its appreciation for the caring staff at UHN and, particularly, for the love and support of the Heart Transplant Team at Toronto General Hospital.

If desired, memorial donations to the Heart Failure and Transplant Program at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at UHN would be appreciated by the family. Please visit tgwhf.ca/tribute or call 416-603-5300.

Given the health struggles you’ve survived, I was quite surprised that you passed so quickly. I’m going to miss hearing you & Bruno chatting every night like you have since May, visiting when we were in town and I’ll definitely miss knowing you’re just a phone call away. Rest In Peace . Love you ❤️

I will miss your laughter, your tales of humorous things related to work, and.those amazing German Christmas breakfasts! Until we meet again, sleep well and may Angels sing thee to thy rest.

I will always remember Pierre's cheerfulness when I am sure at times life was very difficult. My thoughts are with you all and count me in when we can all meet and sing and celebrate Pierre's life.
