In Celebration of

Zofia Burghardt

February 2, 1930 -  May 13, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Zosia Burghardt, on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Copernicus Lodge. Beloved wife of the late Wieslaw. Loving mother of Janusz (Donna) and the late Ewa Jenkins. Cherished grandmother of Thomas, Michael, Daniel, and Kasia. Zosia will be lovingly remembered by her son-in-law, Lee Jenkins. Zosia played host to many friends at her cottage, was always willing to lend a helping hand, and played a vital role in the lives of her beloved grandchildren. Due to the current restrictions around COVID-19, a private family service will be held. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

Deepest condolences on Sofie's passing. Enduring memories of her sun tanning and enjoying the beach at Doe lake.

Adele Derkowski (family friend)

I remember her walking the road at So-Ho-Mish. All the work she did in the cottage garden, a spectacular display from scratch. She always had a smile and something nice to say to everyone. And the story of her driving a motorcycle with no brakes when she was young. A wonderful lady. Sorry for your loss.

My fondest memories of Sofie are her sprightly smile and lively visits; her beautiful lilies and enduring pleasure for the beach. I'm sorry for your loss.
