In Celebration of

Zenon Walter Ruryk

September 18, 1933 -  June 21, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we mark the loss of Zenon Walter Ruryk, who passed away quietly on June 21, 2024 at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga after a lengthy illness. He was 90.

Born Sept.18, 1933 in North Battleford, Sask., Zenon will dearly be remembered as a husband, father, and grandfather who always made his family the top priority in his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anne; sons, Brian and Zenon Jr.; daughters-in-law, Lina and Jackie; grandchildren, Tessa, Sean and Matt; and other family members. He is predeceased by his brother, Gerry, and mother, Anna.

Always an active fellow, he enjoyed working with youth, volunteering as a cub scout leader and hockey coach during his younger years. He was an avid golfer, although poor health prevented him from pursuing the sport in his final years.

During his younger years, he helped on his family's farm in Waterford, Ont. Later in life, he worked at their grocery store in Toronto. It was during this period of his life, that Zenon met the love of his life, Anne. They married July 9, 1955, and spent almost 69 years together.

After graduating with a specialty in electrical studies, Zenon joined Dictaphone Corp., where he worked for many years as a service manager and administrator before retiring at age 65.

He will be sorely missed by all.

Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Neweduk- Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 12-1 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel following the visitation at 1 p.m. Interment to follow, at Glendale Cemetery 1810 Albion Rd, Etobicoke.
