In Celebration of

Zeljko Mike Pala

April 4, 1951 -  May 18, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Zeljko Mike Pala, who died
unexpectedly at the age of 74.

Zeljko, lovingly known as Mike, is survived by his devoted wife Ann, children Mark (Leann),
Helen (Rob), Joe, and Marianne (Steve), and his six adored grandchildren: Daniel, Sophia,
Ella, Scarlett, Natalia, and Cody. He is predeceased by his parents Mandica
(2012) and Veceslav (2001).

Mike was a man of unwavering faith, guided by a deep devotion to God that shaped his
outlook, his actions, and his love for others. A proud member of Croatian Martyrs
Church and active participant in St. Joseph’s and Merciful Redeemer parishes, he offered
quiet strength and spiritual connection to many. His endlessly curious mind guided him as
a devoted member of many diverse communities, always eager to learn, connect, and
contribute wherever he went.

Known for his strong work ethic, Mike was generous with his time, hospitality, and laughter.
He was proud of his role as a provider, always placing his faith and the well-being of his
family at the center of his life. His sense of humor, warm personality, and baked goods will
be dearly missed.

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 23 at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel from 2:00– 4:00pm and 6:00–9:00pm, with Eulogies at 8pm and Rosary Prayer to follow at 8:15pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 10:00am at Croatian Martyrs Church,
followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.

A reception lunch will follow at 1:00pm at Croatian Martyrs Church.

Flowers may be ordered from Carisma Flowers. In memory of Zeljko Mike, donations can be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or there will be a donation box available at the visitation.

"Merciful Father, in conjunction with your Son Jesus Christ, welcome Zeljko Mike Pala into
eternal rest. Let him be with you in your kingdom and share forever in your heavenly
banquet. Amen."

My deepest condolences on the passing of Mike to Helen, Mark, Joe, Marianne, Anna and all his grandchildren and children-in-laws. I only have fond memories of Mike during my friendship with Helen., especially in our younger days before we’re all married. In particular I’ll never forget when he put a blanket on me when I fell asleep at their house. He always had the kindest disposition. May you rest in peace in the kingdom of God.
