In Celebration of

Zdzislaw Pluta

July 2, 1932 -  January 1, 2025

Zdzich (Jim) passed away, unexpectedly, on January 1st, 2025 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of 63 years to Lucja (predeceased) and Loving Father to Wanda. He lived a full life, calling many places home including Poland, Lebanon and the U.K., before settling in Toronto in 1964.

Jim always had a wide variety of interests. He enjoyed oil painting and sketching, and as a young man, he earned his “Black Belt” in Judo. Jim remained happily active through his senior years, with gratitude to Copernicus Lodge Adult Day Program, the Polish “Junacy” organization and Saturday chess at the library.

He will be dearly missed.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Casimir’s Church, 156 Roncesvalles Ave., on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10am. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
