On August 16, 2023, Mary, in her 102nd year, peacefully went to her Maker to join her husband of 51 years, Joseph G. Zammit.

Born in Toronto on January 25, 1922, lived in Burlington, and passed in Mississauga. Predeceased by her parents: Michelina (Debono) & Thomas Vella; sisters: Carmela, Annie, Jean, and Audrey and granddaughter: Melanie Ruesgen. She leaves behind: brother, Joseph Vella; children: Rita (George), Joanne (Burt), Tom (Joan), Teresa (Pam), and Cathy (Raul); grandchildren: Jason, Amanda (Aidan), Ryan (Dina), Melissa (Adam), Elise (Jonathan), Kaitlyn (Brennan), Christopher (Catherine), Stephanie (Steven), and Matthew (Alyssa); great-grandchildren: Nicole, Carter, Ashleigh, Keira, Jordan, Brendan, Caleb, Noah, Grayson, Hayden, Francesco, Skylar, Salara, Sullivan, Madelyn, and Emily.

Visitation: Monday, August 21, 2023 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. (Rosary at 7:30 pm) at Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W. Mississauga

Funeral Mass: Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Josephine Bakhita RC Parish, 3200 Thomas St. (Winston Churchill) Mississauga

Reception to follow mass at the church hall.
