In Celebration of

Yong-Chung Kang

May 31, 1938 -  September 29, 2021

Yong-Chung passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at St Joseph's hospital on September 29. 2021.

Yong-Chung was a long standing business owner in the Bloor West Village neighborhood. He spent his retirement days enjoying time in High Park walking and fishing when he could. He passionately loved golfing, karaoke and sitting back to enjoy life. He was never shy around cameras, always asking for photos to be taken and bursting out singing his favourite Frank Sinatra songs.

He is survived by his wife Hesuck, daughters Carol (Michael) , Angela (Ian), grandchildren Benjamin Paul McDonell and Abigail Ethel McDonell.

There will be a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to the Parkinson Canada, or the High Park Nature Centre.

Thank you Uncle for always welcoming me into your home ❤️ I always had a place to come to during my university years, where I could enjoy home cooked meals, classic TV shows, and sneak out and catch the subway downtown.

Gomo, Carol, and Angie, we are so sorry for your loss and we are mourning with you today. We are sorry we couldn't be with you in person to say goodbye to Gomo-bu. But our hearts are with you and you are in our thoughts and prayers. May the peace of God comfort you all at this time.
