Winston Punnett

February 13, 1952 -  April 30, 2025


It is with profound loss and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Winston Frederick Punnett. Winston passed away unexpectedly in Brampton Civic Hospital on April 30, 2025 surrounded by his wife and two daughters.

He is pre-deceased by his Mother, Helen Sylvia Punnett (nee: Boland) Father, Desmond Punnett and his sister Denise Punnett. His is survived by his wife, Helen Punnett (nee: Newby), daughters, Danielle and Hannah Punnett and his sister, Mary Punnett.

Winston was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and was raised in St. Vincent and the Grenadines before coming to Canada in his late 20's. He built a life as a Husband, Father and Business owner, while also being a friend and mentor to many.

Winston was fun and full of life (life of the party) but also giving and kind, strong minded and resilient.

He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family, friends and colleagues."

We invite Family and Friends to the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5-8pm for the viewing.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, May 16th at 11am.

Burial will be at the Sanctuary Park Cemetery on Royal York Road (address below) after 12:00pm.

Celebration of life will be held after the funeral service at York Studios (address below) from 1pm to 5pm. Food and drinks will be served.

Daddy - I miss you more than I can bear....you were my best friend and the strength in my life. Thank you for the wonderful life you gave me, the safety, support and unconditional love and all the fabulous memories.

I know you will continue to watch over and guide Hannah and I and I have faith I will see you again one day.

Punts was always a nice guy. We were the original students of The Saint Msrtins school when it was opened in 1961 We had many good times together. Condolences to his family.R.I.P my brother
