With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Winifred Farquharson (nee Weale) on December 16, 2020 at the age of 95. Winifred was happily married to John Farquharson for 58 years prior to his passing in 2000. Winifred is survived by her daughter Jacqueline (Ben) and she is predeceased by four siblings. She loved with all her heart and soul her grandchildren Jennifer (Dan) and David (Marcia) and her very special great grandchild Cayden. Winifred was born in Birmingham England where she met the love of her life while he was serving in the Canadian Air Force during World War 2. She came to Canada on the last war bride ship, the Aquitania and married in 1947. She loved to cook and especially bake cookies. Both mom and dad also enjoyed entertaining and visits from relatives in England and Flint Michigan. The family would like to express appreciation to the Staff at Beechwood Living Assisted for their compassionate care. Winifred was a beautiful lady, who will be dearly missed by all her family. Winifred will be remembered in a private family service at a later date. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sick kids would be appreciated.
