In Celebration of

Wilma Mae Wilson

May 16, 1934 -  October 2, 2020

Wilson, Wilma Mae

It is with great sadness we share that Wilma Wilson (nee Smith) passed away peacefully on October 2, 2020 in her 87th year.
Wilma was predeceased by the love of her life Tom (2012). Proud mother to Dwight (Donna), Janet (Cam), Lori (Kelly) and David (Melissa). Cherished Nana to Graeme (Jessica), Thomas (Shannon), Melissa (Alex), Lauren (Charlie), David (Hillary) and adored Nana Banana to Cameron, Lochlan and Aria.
Wilma was born in Sault Ste. Marie and combined a strong northern attitude with an infectious personality and love of life.
She was devoted to children with disabilities and life-threatening illnesses, volunteering for 35 years at her beloved Ronald McDonald House. She also served as a Director of Silver Creek Nursery School, Treasurer of the Humber Valley Chapter of the IODE and volunteered at All Saints Anglican Church.
Wilma was presented the Volunteer Service Award in 1985 by the Lieutenant Governor John Aird.
Special thanks for the wonderful care Mom received the three short weeks she was at Kipling Acres.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be a Private Memorial Service Tuesday, October 13th at Turner & Porter, Yorke Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Toronto’s Ronald McDonald House.

I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to all.
My fondest memories growing up were our summer vacations with you all in the Big TO! Aunt Wilma was always so much fun, she had the best attitude and she may haves spoiled me a bit! She was definitely my favourite aunt!

Please know you are in our hearts and in our prayers at this difficult time.
