Willis McAllister

March 17, 1935 -  September 3, 2023

Passed peacefully on September 3rd, 2023, at The Village of Humber Heights in Toronto. Born on March 17, 1935, in Boom Road, NB, Willis is survived by his daughter, Susan (Dave) McAllister; granddaughter, Nicole; grandson, Joshua; and daughter-in-law, Melanie.
He is predeceased by Fay, his beloved wife of 57 years, and his son, Roger; his 7 siblings, most recently Irvine Junior; and his parents, Irvine John and Ida Mae (nee Matchett) McAllister.
He will be missed by his many sisters and brothers-in-law: Addie McAllister, Thelma McAllister, Mona McCrea, Patrick (Camie) Whitney, Wilma (Eb) Gosse, Donna Belliveau, Linda James, Rosalie (Dave) Andrew, Heather (Tim) Whitney, and Robert (Julie) Whitney; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Willis worked in many jobs in his early years and retired from Anaconda/Arrowhead Metals after almost 3 decades. He was an active member and volunteer on many Church projects.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Willis’ church family at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church for their many years of friendship, community and support; as well as to the staff at The Village of Humber Heights, especially Emma’s, for their care and compassion in his final years.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 3819 Bloor St. W., Etobicoke on Wednesday October 4th, 2023, at 11:00am. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall following the service. Willis' and Fay's remains will be buried in St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Cemetery in Boom Road, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, Lung Association, Dorothy Ley Hospice or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Good bye Uncle Willis. I hope you know how much I enjoyed any time I got to spend with you. You had a way of making me feel special and like the only one who got your jokes. ;) I know .. you made everyone feel that way and that is amazing. (well.. except Mom's cat - gosh, the thing did NOT get your jokes! :D )
Rest in Peace with Fay <3 You are remembered.
