In Celebration of

William Glenn Thompson

November 30, 1933 -  February 5, 2024

It is with extreme sorrow, that the family of William Glenn Thompson announces his passing on Monday
February 5, 2024. He reached his goal of turning 90 years old at the end of November 2023. Glenn is
survived by his wife of almost 69 years Marlene and his children Audrey, Jeanette (Pete), and Don (Kim).
Grandchildren Andrew, Jonathon (Sophie) and Sean. Step grandchildren Peter (Terri) & Eddie (Amanda)
and his great-grandson Jaxon along with step-great-grandchildren Natalie & Colin. He is predeceased by
his granddaughter Jodi (Steve). Also predeceased by his parents Gordon & Mary and brother Merrill.

Glenn has been retired for over 30 years, but kept himself busy at the cottage, doing his handyman
things and working at Credit Valley and Mississauga Golf Courses. He loved cutting the greens on the
tractor, it reminded him of growing up on the farm. Glenn and Marlene enjoyed their many canoe trips,
family camping, and their vacations to various parts of the world. Previously he worked for 35 years as a
valued and respected employee at Pure Metal Galvanizing Inc. The last few years have been a challenge
because of his health. He is at peace now.

Our family would like to offer our deepest thanks to his caregivers over the last few years and to the
doctors and nurses at Credit Valley Hospital where he spent the last month.

Visitation will be held at Erindale United Church 1444 Dundas Street, Mississauga, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 11 am until service time at noon.
Donations in Glenn’s honour may be made to Erindale United Church where the family has been a
member for over 60 years.
