It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Woodgate on August 24th, 2021 in Mississauga, Ontario.

Born in Kilkenny, Ireland in 1934, Billy immigrated to Canada in 1955. Son of John and Mary Woodgate and loving husband of the late Maureen Woodgate.

Sadly missed by his sisters Cecelia (Colman) and Brigid (Bill). Pre-deceased by his brothers John (Cathy), Matthew and Michael (Paula), and sisters Mary (Thomas) Kathleen (Bill). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada & Ireland.
William was a great supporter of the Toronto Irish community and the GAA.

Visitation will be held at the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga, on Monday, August 30th, from 3 – 6 pm. Due to Covid restrictions, visitation is by pre-registration only.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 o’clock on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021, at St Dominic Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca St, Oakville. Interment Assumption Cemetery.

If desired, donations can be made in Billy’s memory to the Huntington Foundation of Canada.
