In Celebration of

William "Bill" Teskey

October 28, 1939 -  July 8, 2017

Founder and President since 1969 of Sayco-Canbuilt, Toronto.

A well lived and loved life came to an end with his family by his side on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at the Dorothy Ley Hospice at the age of 77.

Bill was a big man with a big heart, big dreams, great sense of humour and strong principles who was always generous and fair. He was a friend and mentor to many, a proud Canadian with strong and widespread Irish roots all over the world. He lived his life to the fullest, travelled the world, and was the life of the party. He loved watching Jeopardy and was passionate about his business for the last 49 years.

Cherished husband of Lisa. Super dad of Lisa Ann Teskey. Loving brother of Marion Hand and the late James Teskey. Admired brother-in-law of Julika Becker in Vienna, Austria. Buddy and Tommy Teskey, his feline friends will miss him dearly. Bill will be forever remembered by his wonderful friends, nieces, nephews, extended family, including Myrna Teskey and the "eight widows". Many customers and suppliers will remember his knowledge of and commitment to the automotive industry.

The family would especially like to thank the employees at Sayco-Canbuilt for their continuous commitment to maintaining high quality standards and excellent customer service during his absence. A special thank you goes to Doug Drake for the personal care he provided to Bill during his long illness. Doug was a "rock" to all of us, demonstrating great patience, compassion, entertainment and love for nearly a year. He has become part of our family.

In addition, we would like to recognize Dr. Mavrogiannis for his dedication and commitment to providing Bill with excellent personalized care and the compassionate nature of the multidisciplinary health team at the Dorothy Ley Hospice. A special thank you goes to the very kind nurse Elizabeth from Spectrum Health Care.

His journey will continue in a different place without pain and we have no doubt that right at this moment he will be selling his beloved automotive equipment to a willing customer.

Until we meet again, rest in peace, our special Bill.

Friends may call at Turner & Porter "Butler" Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. at Burnhamthorpe Road in Etobicoke on Friday, July 14th, 2017 from 5-8pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11am. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, your local women’s shelter and Bill would encourage everyone to 'get their Shingles vaccination'.

My sincere condolences Lisa and Lisa Ann and the entire Teskey family. Bill was one of a kind, and I am grateful for having known and worked for him. He was a great mentor, superb story teller, kind generous, witty and at times naughty, and I will miss him terribly. Rest in peace Bill.
