In Celebration of

William "Bill" Oliver Warren

July 30, 1927 -  August 25, 2021

Passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late June Warren (2010). Dear father of Joanne, Douglas, and Kathryn. Loved grandfather of Andrew, Dylan and Lindsay. He is survived by his brother Don Warren and his wife Doreen. William was born in Blackfalds, Alberta and moved with his family to Calgary in his teens. He often spoke fondly of the time he spent as a bachelor working in the offices of a mining company in Trail B.C. where he enjoyed hiking and skiing in the Rocky Mountains. In 1970, he was transferred to Toronto, Ontario by Continental Can Company of Canada where he remained a faithful and valuable employee until his retirement. His positive outlook and sense of humour will be sadly missed by friends and family alike.

What a wonderful photo of dear Bill, as we like to remember him. He was always so incredibly positive minded and energetic before becoming so ill in his remaining years. When my dear sister June become so ill, that he wasn't able to provide her with the 24 hour care she required, Bill devoted his life to spending time with her every day at the nursing home. He fed her lunch, put her to bed for her afternoon nap, and came back to feed her dinner, prior to putting her to bed for the night.

I have many fond memories of Bill and His wife June. We had a great time when we were together. Our trips to mississauga were so special as they loved to show us all there was to see in the area. They opened their home and hearts and were fabulous hosts. Bill and his brother Dick were very close in age and shared many memories of childhood adventures in Blackfalds. As Bill always said as we grew older, "all we have is our memories". And our memories of Bill are extra special. Our condolences and love to Joanne, Doug, Kathryn and his grandchildren. May he rest in peace.

Uncle Bill and Aunt June moved from Calgary to Toronto when I was a young kid. When Paul and I and our girls moved to southern Ontario in 1999, we reconnected with them. I'm thankful we got the chance to really know them and to connect with Kathryn, Dylan and Lindsay. We moved from Ontario in 2012. The last time we saw dear Uncle Bill was at his family reunion in Blackfalds, Alberta a few years later, although we kept in touch by phone.

Uncle Bill, you were such an amazing caregiver to Aunt June during her last years. You went everyday to be with her. One day after she passed away, we were looking at pictures of your adventures together at your new condo. You told me, "Our memories are all we have." Paul and I have such great memories of you. We enjoyed all the family get togethers and the meals we had together. We will miss your sense of humour and positive attitude about life. Every time time I hear a joke you would have liked, I will think of you. Rest in peace. xoxo Kathryn, Joanne, Doug, Dylan, Lindsay and Andrew, you will be in our thoughts.
