With profound sadness, we announce the passing of William (Bill) Alexander Milne on February 23, 2025, at the age of 86, at Wellbrook Place in Mississauga. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 34 years, Elaine, and his beloved children, Alexandra and Thomas. He is also survived by his brother, Glen, and many cousins.

Bill was an adventurer, world traveler, and visionary who lived life to the fullest. He found joy in skiing, boating, traveling, scuba diving, sketching and sculpting. Bill was recognized and honoured for his environmental work, winning the Yachtsman of the Year from the Boating Industry in 2000 and Innovator of the Year, Science and Technology from the Globe and Mail Newspaper in 2014.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, at 3:00 PM at Turner & Porter Funeral Home, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga. Donations in Bill’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

I will always remember him as larger than life in more ways than one. He was a great man and great person and a loving father of two wonderful children! I’m so very sorry for his family especially his wife Elaine who has been by his side for many years and gave him two beautiful children who will carry on his legacy. My deepest condolences to his wife and children who are friends with my own children as well. My heart goes out to you all.

On behalf of Fogh Boat Supplies, Fogh Marine and all our staff, we extend our sincerest condolences to Bill's wife, Elaine and all his family and friends. Our relationship precedes my involvement and goes back to the Mason family. Probably close to the full 40 year career that Bill had. He was always passionate, dedicated and willing to participate in any events and shows we had, and often hand delivered our products. He cared about the relationship we had with each other. He's one of the last of that era that will ever do those things and we will miss his visits and service. We are all better for knowing Bill.
