Passed away peacefully at Mississauga Hospital on October 30, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Reta for 64 years, father to Elizabeth (Murray), William (Wendy) and Douglas (Kim). Grandfather to Curtis (Erin), Lindsay (Leo), Matthew (Courtney) and Alexander. Great Grandfather to Liam, Jackson and Sasha. Uncle to many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his father, Henry Thomas Daniels at a young age. He had to get a job to support his mother and brothers. They started their day delivering 200 newspapers before working various jobs. He later was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Octavia Daniels, his youngest brother Richard, his middle brother Albert and his wife Marilyn. Also predeceased by his nephew David.

Bill was a proud employee of A V Roe and participated in the building of the famed Avro Arrow. He was also involved with the Heritage Foundation for the Arrow to keep its importance and history alive with his dear friend Frank Harvey who predeceased him this February 15th, 2020.

After the demise of the Arrow project Bill went on to work for the Post Office as a Letter Carrier. Later he became a Supervisor, then finally a Route Measurement Officer. Bill retired at the age of 60 with 33 years of service.

Bill played lacrosse when he was a young man. He played across Canada as far as Vancouver and winning the Minto Cup. Bill and his teammates met every year for the Old Boys Club Banquet, each year seeing the surviving members lessen. True teammates till the end.

Bill went on as a father to coach lacrosse and seeing his team's winning successes. He later became a ref to keep the game in order, fair and safe for the players. Bill was also an avid basketball player. His height helped as he played with his teammates as a young man.

In his later years golf became his sport of choice which he enjoyed with his Par 5 Golf Group. He was always up for a game of golf and used it as an incentive to get better so he could play again as he battled four types of cancer successfully in his Life.

If the TV was on in his home you could be sure he was watching his favourite teams, The Toronto Maple Leafs and The Toronto Blue Jays, as well as watching golf or any other sport.

One of Bills greatest joys were family gatherings when he got to see his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They always lit up his eyes and put a smile on his face. As well his fur grandbabies, Cassie always warming his lap and Trina looking for treats. Mom said his spirits were always lifted after a visit with them.

Dad has gone on to look after his new great grandbaby till their arrival next spring.

Dad will be greatly missed but we know he will be looking down on us from above and watching over us all to keep us safe with his everlasting love.
