In Celebration of

Wendy Ann Wade

July 25, 1958 -  December 11, 2022

Peacefully, yet suddenly, after a brief illness. Beloved daughter of Barb and the late Art Wade. Dear sister of Nancy and Jim Wade, aunt of Rob, Tom, and Jenna Wade, and niece of Susann, Ilse, and the late Bob Sutherland.

Wendy graduated from Michael Power/St. Joe’s, Wilfred Laurier University, and the University of Western Ontario. She enjoyed a very successful 32-year career as a teacher, consultant, and school librarian with the DPCDSB instilling her love for books and reading with her students.

In retirement, Wendy continued with her love of games and cards. She was a Bronze Life Master Bridge player and will be sadly missed by her friends in the MOBridge Club. She enjoyed playing trivia; very few people could beat her in a game. She also continued with cruising and travelling to many countries throughout the world. She had a wonderful group of friends in Lowville who will miss her greatly.

Wendy’s family can never give enough thanks to her friends Linda Guidoni and Marrey Prajza for their extra love, support, and care of Wendy during her illness.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the new year. For those who wish, donations to a favourite children’s charity would be greatly appreciated.

Wendy had a beautiful, cheerful and generous spirit. Ever faithful to her family and friends; we will miss her generous soul. May she rest in eternal peace with her dad and uncle. JV

Susan and I were deeply saddened to hear that Wendy had passed away. While we have not seen Wendy for many years, we have nothing but fond memories of her and the entire Wade family. We certainly will remember you all in our prayers and will definitely see you I. The new year.
