In Celebration of

Wayne Lloyd MacKinnon

June 1, 1956 -  September 14, 2020

I am extremely sorry to share that Wayne MacKinnon, my brother and closest friend passed away early Monday morning.

He is leaving myself “Susan” and my husband “Tom”, our 3 daughters, Lisa (Dave Ocampo), Lori (Wayne McDowell) and Lana (Ron Ferlin).

He was a loving and generous Granduncle to Parker & Peyton Ocampo, Ava, Audrey, Hugh, Hilton & Iris Mcdowell, Reid & Lochlin Ferlin.

Wayne was a long-time employee at the Ontario Food Terminal, over 30 yrs with Lenson Celery and Gambles.

He graduated from Etobicoke Collegiate and served the Faustina Hockey Club. Being a member over 25 years, volunteering his time, coaching and timekeeping.

Wayne will be dearly missed by his family and friends. We know he will be looking down on us from now on with his parents (Joan & Lloyd) by his side.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

Deaf Susan, Tom and family. I read Wayne’s death notice with a heavy heart. Memories flood back to the visits with your Mom, Dad, you and Wayne at your family home on Bradbrooke. You as a young teenager taking us with a friend of yours in a convertible to the Malton Airport to watch the planes take off and land, your family along with the Sloans visiting our family at our parents farm in Fenelon Falls and having picnics at our grandparents Chambers farm on the beautiful Balsam Lakeshore property. We would swim, ride our bikes and play for what we thought were hours.
My heartfelt sympathies are with you all during these difficult days, weeks and months ahead
Know my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Mourn Wayne’s death and remember to celebrate his life. He accomplished lots.
Love to all. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Respectfully,
David Wells

So sorry for your loss, he was a gentle man who always took the time to say Hi when he saw me.
Wayne was a story teller. When i would visit him We would sit and chat, always happy!

He was always kind to myself and my family, I remember when he would leave some fruits and vegetables at my doorstep, his heart was so generous. One year he gave my son hockey tickets just because he knew my son loved hockey.

I moved away over two years ago, when I could I stopped by to say Hi.

Thoughtful gentle man , A Beautiful Soul!

Wayne you will be missed!!!
