In Celebration of

Wayne Schick Gan

February 17, 1935 -  February 4, 2023

The family announces Wayne Schick Gan's passing with much sadness and a heavy heart. He passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on February 4, 2023. He was the cherished husband of his beloved wife Irene Koon Gan (nee Wong) for more than 60 years. He is lovingly survived by five children: Caroline Gan, Karen Gan, Suzanne Gan and her husband William Mak, Andrew Gan and his wife Jennyfer Pacelo-Gan, and Wendy Gan and her husband Hugo Chung. He was also the loving grandfather of nine grandchildren: Jennifer, Carly, Caitlin, Christina, Melissa, Cavan, Keenan, Jeremiah and Johann.

Wayne was born in Canton, China and resided in Windsor, Ontario, where he spent most of his life. He was hard-working, a generous provider, and always loved unconditionally. He was deeply respected for his kindness, integrity, and practical nature. All of his family and friends will truly miss Wayne.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, February 18, at 2 pm at Turner & Porter, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Wayne was a great supporter of the Canadian Red Cross and Trillium Health Partners. In lieu of flowers, all are encouraged to commemorate Wayne's life through The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or one of his favourite charities.
