Fond memories … we played together in Cloverleaf hockey in Bantom. Limited contact with our teammates but one commented yesterday he was not “large”. I remember Norm and Erma in the stands with my mother at Dixie Arena. I recall Doug was an assistant coach one or two years. Sadly, lost touch … George Will … the large goalie.

We may not have been related, but he will always be Uncle Wayne to me. I have so many wonderful memories with him at the cottage.
We shared a love of puzzles and spent many hours working on them together. If it wasn't puzzles, he was always up for a card game or game of yatzee. I remember teasing him about his barbecuing skills, and he would always laugh along with me. Or him teasing me about cheating with puzzles, because I didn't separate every piece before starting. Recently I did the same with my son, and as I did it, I thought of Uncle Wayne saying the same to me.
I learned so much from him, and always enjoyed time with him. He was a special man, with a big heart. He will be missed.
