Walter Ubeika

February 21, 1939 -  February 18, 2023

Walter Ubeika, of Mississauga, Ontario passed away peacefully with family at his side on Saturday, February 18, at the age of 83. He is survived by Lily, his loving wife of 55 years, sons Jason and Christopher, and grandchildren Ryan and Genevieve. He was predeceased by his parents Albinas and Adele Ubeika.

Born February 21, 1939 in Padustelis, Lithuania, Walt lived in Germany and England as a child before settling in Canada with his parents in the 1950s. He was a construction product sales representative for Tremco for nearly 30 years. His favourite pastimes were golf and bowling, and he loved spending time at the family cottage. Walt was known for his quick wit and one-liners, and was always a source of smiles and laughter for his family and friends.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23 at Turner & Porter, 2180 Hurontario St. in Mississauga. Funeral services will be held at Turner & Porter on Friday, February 24 at 1:00 p.m., with burial at St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery, 2185 Stavebank Rd. in Mississauga, followed by a reception at the adjacent Anapilis Halls.
