In Celebration of

Wallace Edwin (Ed) Nodwell

July 12, 1932 -  September 19, 2018

Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Joan. Loving father of Justin and Sarah (Laurie), and father-in-law to Lisa.

Born on a farm near Hillsburgh, Ontario, rumour has it he was a bit of a rebel. Successful, intelligent and well read, Ed was adventurous – whether travelling by moped in Portugal, skiing in the Eastern Townships, or visiting Paris on a whim – and a friend to everyone he met. He worked in advertising and was an entrepreneur, forming his own business and making a success of it through a recession. He loved golfing at Lambton and the beaches at Hilton Head. Predeceased by his older brother Gordon, he leaves behind sister-in-law Jessie, his younger sister Joan Trathen (Bill), nieces and nephews Paul, David, Marcus, Lauren and Tina, and grandson Leo. Ed was a genuinely fun person and he will be missed dearly. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dorothy Ley Hospice would be appreciated.

My deepest sympathy goes to both of you Sarah and Justin. I always enjoyed my conversations with your Dad. I will miss his silky voice and the way he called me Ruthie. He was a caring brother, brother-in-law and uncle and felt deeply for the family. Not all of us take the time to make that phone call to find out how everyone is, but he did. His immortality will be the stories we continue to tell about a great "Uncle Ed".

Love Ruth

We will miss playing golf with Ed and John Carpenter at Lambton. I will always remember some wonderful times we had together. Hopefully they are playing together again at a heavenly course.
